The Youghiogheny River Trail, the Allegheny Highlands Trail and the C&O Canal Towpath comprise The Youghatomac, a collection of bikable trails extending uninterrupted over 300 miles from Pittsburgh, PA to Washington DC. The greenway corridor is considered the crown jewel of the Mid-Atlantic Rail Trails. I first started riding the trail's entirety in 1999 and it has since become an annual pilgrimage.
